A Film by Jon Pivko

A short film where a young musician navigates the absurdity of the Information Age, as AI blurs the line between art and identity in unexpected ways.

Director’s note

I have always been drawn to stories that explore the shifting relationship between humanity and technology. Through the lens of a young musician, I wanted to capture the anxiety of looking down the barrel of an uncertain future, where the very act of artistic expression is being reshaped by artificial intelligence and algorithmic forces beyond our control. This project is my way of holding a humorous mirror to this moment, questioning where we are headed, and perhaps most importantly, asking if we still have a say in it.

This film was written at the end of 2023 and shot in May of 2024 as AI gained popularity in the zeitgeist. It took a year for me to complete post production as I balanced fatherhood and my day job as a photographer.
